Areion Finserve Private Limited (AFPL) is a Base Layer NBFC registered under Section 45 IA of The Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934. AFPL had originally been incorporated on 06th January, 1975 as Bathla & Company Limited and was subsequently acquired by Areion Group in 2020 with an objective to enter into the field of financial services.

NBFCs play an important role in the Indian financial system by complementing and competing with banks. Their presence also improves efficiency and brings diversity into financial intermediation. Role of NBFCs in promoting financial inclusion and catering to the needs of small businesses and specialized segments gives an additional dimension to their existence. NBFCs have expanded their share in total credit extended by banks and NBFCs over a period of time.

As NBFCs continue to expand their role in the financial system, regulations relating to governing them are being increasingly harmonized with those of banks to establish the right balance for financial stability while encouraging them to focus and grow in specialized areas.

Considering the importance of NBFC Sector in Financial Landscape of the country, we have decided to foray into this sector. Areion Group has a decade long experience in the stressed assets industry. Areion brings to the table end to end solutions to Corporates, Banks, NBFCs, Co Operative Banks and ARCs etc.

The Group has advised diverse resolution strategies across broad array of industries viz. Textiles, Metals, Pharmaceuticals, Auto Components, Paper, Packaging, Dyes, Specialty Chemicals, Real Estate, Education etc. We at Areion group have finest understanding of the complex transaction dynamics due to hands-on-experience and expertise in originating, structuring and execution.

AFPL has strong management team comprising of professionals having rich experience in banking, non-banking financial sector and particularly in distress sector. The company has successfully concluded number of transactions including funding of One Time Settlements, financing of Resolution Plans, grant of Interim Finance and Acquisition and Resolution of NPA accounts etc. AFPL has also participated in bidding process for sale of NPA accounts conducted by various Banks, NBFCs and FIs.

Besides the above, AFPL has also provided advisory services to various clients for settlements of their NPA accounts with Banks/ NBFCs/ FIs and also provided advisory services to Corporates undergoing CIRP under IBC, 2016.
